During the construction of the mega solar power temple in Arizona, an exception was granted in the atate's protection of endangered desert tortoises, of which some 3,000 were killed during it's construction.

The holy solar temple now literally fries birds in the sky, igniting them in mid-flight, whereafter they leave smoke trails as they fall. People call them streamers. It is estimated the plant fries some 30,000 birds per year, who are attracted to the bugs, who in turn are attracted to the light.
