Bali Climate Conference Fails

As the poles melted, the world governments assembled at the tropical paradise of Bali, to confront the climate crisis.

With Canada running interference (threatening to kill the conference) - the U.S. APPEARED to give in - but actually gave up nothing. As we hear from the rabid supporters of the Bush Administration, the American Enterprise Institute. No firm targets were set - despite the willingness of Europe and all the rest of the developing world to act now. A huge opportunity missed.

The agreement is to talk about it for a few more years. This despite the warning of top scientists, including American experts, that we only have a few years to reduce emissions, to avoid punishing climate shifts.

I've gathered clips from many different countries and viewpoints for this news digest show. America, Europe, Canada and Australia speak up, plus a lot of Green reaction that never made to the mass media. And a clip from George Monbiot speaking to the BBC.

Twenty one minutes you need to hear, about the efforts, and booby traps, to avoid catastrophic climate change.
